We aim to add capacity to data gathering in the field and work on the principle of “Feed In”. We feed data into existing research activities and do not aspire to be a research program in itself. Using carefully and cooperatively developed tools and methods, Cold Facts connects with existing research programs. The actual use of the collected data is, after all, the work of real scientists. They have access to the necessary infrastructure and expertise.
Based on scientific insights resulting from the science that we support - and polar science in general - we inform a wide audience in a factual yet entertaining manner. Thereby we promote a better understanding of the Polar Regions and make an informal contribution to science education.
